Welcome to the Limerick School of Music (LSOM) website.  LSOM, under the auspices of City of Limerick V.E.C. was founded in 1962.  With a student enrolment of 1500 and a staff of 55 we are the largest provider of music education in the Mid-West Region.

Located in Mulgrave Street, in the heart of the city, we provide tuition on all orchestral instruments from beginner to diploma level.  In addition we offer tuition in Singing, Theory of Music, Classical, Acoustic and Plectrum Guitar, Speech and Drama, Instrument Making and Pipe Organ.

LSOM also provides outreach programmes at Our Lady Queen of Peace, Janesboro, Limerick and at the Northside Learning Hub in Kileely, Limerick. 

Our inspiring and dedicated staff are teachers and performers of the highest calibre.  As a student at LSOM you become part of an exciting, vibrant and supportive community of musicians.
